How do I remove leaked content from Bing?
Microsoft runs Bing and has its own removal routes. Nothing I've read from Google or Microsoft says a filing with one carries over to the other, so treat them as two jobs. Google itself says a page it removes from its results can still be found by other routes, other search engines included.
Copyright
Microsoft's copyright page sends Bing reports to a content removal form, covering non-paid links in Bing and its image and video search indexes. So one route handles all three. Microsoft's page says a notice needs:
- your full name, mailing address and phone number, plus email if you have one
- the copyrighted work. For several works on one site, a representative list will do.
- the infringing material, with enough information to locate it
- a good-faith statement that the use isn't authorized
- a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you're the owner or authorized
- your electronic or physical signature
Only the owner or an authorized representative may file. Microsoft says it may give your notice to third parties, including the alleged infringer, so read who sees your name first.
Intimate images
Microsoft says anyone can ask to remove a nude or sexually explicit image or video of themselves shared without consent, through its reporting portal, real or synthetic. If review confirms a violation, it removes the reported links from Bing search results globally. That route is for people 18 and over. Under 18, Microsoft sends people to NCMEC's Take It Down. It has also described piloting StopNCII fingerprints for detection in Bing, so a StopNCII case may reach further than one report.
What's left afterwards
Like any search engine filing, this affects Bing's results and not the page. The site still needs its own notice: here's that route. See also delisting or removal at the source.
My plans name Google de-indexing and "remove outdated content" filings. Bing isn't named, so ask me if it matters for your case, or file it yourself: it's free.
General information, not legal advice. I'm not a lawyer and Abolita is not a law firm. Checked against the linked sources on 6 November 2026, except the Bing form and Microsoft's report portal, which wouldn't load for my check. What I say about them comes from the Microsoft pages that name them.
Quick answers
Do I have to file with Bing as well as Google?
If you want the link gone from both, plan on it. They're run by different companies with their own forms, and neither says a filing carries over.
Does the Bing form cover images and videos?
Yes. Microsoft says it covers non-paid links in Bing and its image and video search indexes.
